Image Generators

The next Learning 2.0 assignment was to explore image generators. I'm trying to find a way to add my newly created image to this post but have hit a dead end. Suggestions anyone?

Hook, line and sinker

I'm hooked on Bloglines! I've always felt I needed a way to organize my on-line life and now I have one. Bloglines not only has the feel of one-stop shopping for the feeds I've previously selected but it's a much more efficient use of time. Plus... would I remember on a daily basis to check all of those feeds if they weren't organized? To keep up-to-date, checking my Bloglines account comes second only to opening my e-mail. www.bloglines.com

I'll open a pageflakes account and report back with a comparison of features. As I mentioned in a prior post, apgeflakes offers a to-do list, featured videos, flickr photos and a bunch of ways to personalize your page. www.pageflakes.com

Let me know your experiences....

Ms. Dewey

Just for fun...
If you haven't met Ms. Dewey, she can be found at www.msdewey.com . Some are upset by her sarcastic, rude manner as she assists users but I'm not so easily offended. Amazing how this Jennifer Love Hewitt look alike has managed to combine the old stereotypes of librarians (hair in bun, sometimes impatient) with an updated look that includes a plunging neckline and a fresh attitiude. Of course the greater issue is how effective she is as a search engine and whether she might be doing more harm than good to librarianship with her demeanor. I'll let others debate those issues while I merely have fun with a new database experience.
